STRING CELEBRATIONS is an entertainment concept that was conceived and is permanently directed by MIRIAM KRAMER.

While still living in the States, Miriam appeared in many First Night New Year's Eve events which cull the most remarkable in a given area to produce extravaganzas for the New Year's entertainment.

Upon coming to London where she began serious concertizing in the classical genre, Miriam would often have requests and inquiries from "backstage" concert goers who wanted to know if she would consider playing for their charity organization, their company banquet, or even for a private celebration event.

From these requests, STRING CELEBRATIONS was born to "provide beautiful and 'tailored to the event' music for charity, civic, government, corporate and private events." Clients choose from violin alone ( strolling violin, gypsy violin or the waltzes of Vienna), violin and keyboard, string duos, trios and quartets, and even the addition of flute, clarinet, or oboe to the string ensemble. The repertoire is a good mix of classical, ethnic, (Yiddish, Israeli, Celtic, Italian, Hassidic, Klezmer, etc.), popular and show tunes, transcribed opera arias, jazz, and even ragtime.

In 1995, Ms. Kramer won the UK Jewish Performer of the Year. This prestigious competition attracts hundreds of entries in all aspects of entertainment from throughout the UK After that event, the requests for STRING CELEBRATIONS came pouring in.

Now, Miriam's serious concerts and STRING CELEBRATIONS form a two-way street. People who come to her concerts still want to engage her for lighter occasion events, but, best of all, her clients have become her devoted concert fans who flock to her recitals and concerto appearances.

Miriam is appearing at the elegant Claridge's Hotel in central London where she invites you to visit her if you are in the city. Claridge's has hosted Aristotle Onassis, the late princess Diana, Kings and Queens from all over the world, Madonna, and many other celebrities.

Miriam performs accompanied by a pianist during "High Tea" from 3 to 6 PM in the hotel's foyer and reading room on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Her repertoire includes classical, virtuoso encore pieces, jazz, and show music medleys.
